Short-Cut Lasagna from
Shirley Kindem, Apple Valley, MN
- Prepare the meat sauce as usual: Brown
onions, ground beef (plus some pork sausage if desired) together; add
spaghetti sauce (I use Prego) plus
1/4 C water and heat thoroughly in same pan.
- Drain pasta cooked in boiling water until au
dente (extra large egg noodles, or you can get mini lasagna noodles) and
place into casserole.
- Combine with meat sauce.
- Gently add 1 C shredded pizza cheese (or
combination marble jack, etc.)
- Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake: 350º for 30 - 40 min. until bubbly and
browning.
"It is so much easier than layering,
it doesn't have to be cut up for kids, easier serving, and it tastes much
the same."
