Danish Pastry

Cut together like pie crust:
1 C flour
1 stick margarine
2 T cold water

Roll into 2 strips 3" wide on cookie sheet

Boil together until margarine is melted:
1 C water
1 stick margarine

Add:1 C flour
3 eggs, 1 at a time
until mixture leaves side of pan like cream puffs

Add:1 t almond or vanilla

Spread evenly on pastry strips

Bake:350 for 55 minutes.

Frost while warm with powdered sugar frosting; sprinkle with slivered almonds or walnuts.  Cut in narrow slices to serve--especially delicious warm.
