Blue Cheese with Walnuts Spread from

8 ounces cream cheese, softened 2 ounces blue cheese 2 tablespoons port (optional) 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts, toasted
Puree cheeses and port in a food processor until smooth. Scrape into a small
bowl and sprinkle with the walnuts. (I put the walnuts in with the cheeses and
sprinkled some on top. You'll need another tablespoon or so if you do it this
way.)
Serve with sliced French bread, sliced apples and/or pears or quartered fresh
figs. If serving with fruit slices, soak the fruit in a bowl of water mixed with a
squeeze of lemon juice to prevent browning. | |
